Netflix regularly adds and removes titles, and one fan-favorite is on the way out: Prison Break is available to stream now but will leave Netflix on January 29, 2026.
Created by Paul Scheuring, the series follows brothers Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) and leans hard into a high-stakes prison-escape story. The cast includes standout character actors like Peter Stormare and William Fichtner, and the plot works best with as few spoilers as possible.
There are five seasons to get through — roughly ninety episodes — so time’s limited if you want to binge before it departs. January is a great month for a nostalgic, fast-paced watch.
The show surged onto Netflix’s top charts after arriving in September 2024 and drew plenty of praise (even Stephen King was a fan at one point). A Prison Break reboot has also been discussed, so catching up now could be handy if you want to follow any new developments.
Reminder: Prison Break will remain on Netflix only until January 29, 2026, so plan your watchlist if you want to finish the series while it’s still available.
