Meet the Cast of Run Away: Who Plays Which Character in Harlan Coben's New Netflix Series

Netflix's Run Away, a thriller adapted from Harlan Coben's novel and billed as another twist-filled mystery from the writer behind Fool Me Once and The Stranger, is set to arrive on the streamer in early 2026. The series promises dark turns and high stakes as it follows a family's unraveling after a daughter's disappearance.

The plot centers on James Nesbitt's Simon Greene, a father whose seeming perfect life collapses when his eldest daughter, Paige (Ellie de Lange), develops a drug problem and runs away. After Simon spots Paige in a park with a troubling companion, he begins his own investigation into the violent underworld surrounding her — and becomes a suspect when her boyfriend, Aaron Corval, is found dead.

Investigations into Paige's disappearance draw in Ruth Jones's Elena Ravenscroft, a private investigator who teams with Simon while also probing him, and Alfred Enoch's Detective Isaac Fagbenle, who examines the murder. The series also hints at a shadowy cult linked to Paige through characters such as Ash (Jon Pointing) and Dee Dee (Maeve Courtier-Lilley), while Lucian Msamati's Cornelius Faber appears as a mysterious figure connected to the case.

The ensemble cast includes James Nesbitt as Simon Greene, Minnie Driver as his wife Ingrid, Ellie de Lange as Paige, Ruth Jones as Elena, Alfred Enoch as Isaac, Lucian Msamati as Cornelius, Jon Pointing as Ash, Maeve Courtier-Lilley as Dee Dee, and Adrian Greensmith and Ellie Henry as Paige's younger siblings, Sam and Anya.

Notable credits highlighted in the piece note Nesbitt's long career and BAFTA nominations, Ruth Jones's success as co-creator and star of Gavin & Stacey (and a recent BAFTA TV award), Minnie Driver's Oscar-nominated background, Alfred Enoch's rise from the Harry Potter films to major TV roles, and Lucian Msamati's stage and screen work. The article is written by contributing editor Olivia Truffaut-Wong.
