Netflix Has Just Released The New Medieval Adventure And Fantasy Series By The Director Of ‘300’ And It Is The Most Wild And Entertaining Thing You Can Watch On The Platform

A spectacular series that improves upon the creator’s last work and is unfairly overlooked on Netflix.

There are times when it’s hard to distinguish style from quality. It seems that there are filmmakers who, while continuing to showcase their style and personality, have fans who will support their creations regardless of how disastrous they may be. This is something we have been able to observe in recent years with, for example, Tim Burton. An inconsistent filmmaker who has given us wonders and disasters tinged with his peculiar style. Another great example of this is Zack Snyder. We all know that Zack Snyder has very dedicated fans to his style since he rose to fame with 300, but the truth is that he has also delivered many disastrous films.

It is also true that Zack Snyder has turned his fans into loyal soldiers through his departure from the DC project and the resurgence of the Snyder Cut. A movement that has caused some to have a sentimental identification with Snyder’s figure, almost in a football-like manner. There is no doubt that the director of 300 has demonstrated plenty of talent and style in his epic and violent adaptations of graphic novels and video games. That is his specialty.

However, with Rebel Moon, he has shown us that creating your own Star Wars from scratch is no easy task. And no, the extended versions (which simply add nudity and longer battles) haven’t improved things either. But the difficulty in recommending Rebel Moon does not mean that Zack Snyder’s alliance with Netflix (whom he defends without hesitation, as you can see in the video above) is bad. And no, we’re not here to talk about Army of the Dead, which had its charm.

It turns out that Zack Snyder released a series on Netflix on September 19, and since it is animated, it seems that almost no one has cared. And we are a bit tired of seeing that animation is always regarded as a second-class product. In fact, it is evident that a creative soul with Snyder’s tastes should thrive in this medium. His aesthetics, the spectacularity of his set pieces, the violence, the sex… It’s all present in Twilight of the Gods, a series that sees Snyder return to an environment and tone very reminiscent of 300.

Stars like Sylvia Hoeks, Lauren Cohan, Jessica Henwick, Jamie Chung, Kristofer Hivju, and Pilou Asbaek lend their voices to the original dub of this animated series, whose first season has 8 episodes of approximately half an hour each. All to tell an epic story of revenge with touches of fantasy and mythology surrounding a Viking village and a bride who will end up staining her white with blood red.

The protagonist embarks on a mission of vengeance accompanied by several very particular characters, and along the way, there are many excesses that will delight fans. This time, moreover, we have rid ourselves of most of the usual flaws. You will like Twilight of the Gods if you enjoy Zack Snyder’s work, but even if you don’t, you probably will too.
