You heard it here first, folks! Kim Kardashian is bringing the glitz and glamour of Kardashian Kountry to the masses in a big way.
Netflix has placed the winning bid on a brand new scripted series that Kim is set to executive produce, and the title alone has us all kinds of excited – “Calabasas”!
Kim will be teaming up with “American Horror Story” star Emma Roberts, as well as “Pretty Little Liars” creator I. Marlene King and film producer Alexandra Milchan to bring this show to life.
“Calabasas” is based on the novel “If You Lived Here You’d Be Famous By Now” by Via Belidner, and it’s going to be a juicy teen high school drama in the vein of classic shows like “Beverly Hills 90210” and “The O.C.”
The story follows a 16-year-old midwestern Catholic school girl whose family moves to California and enrolls her at the one and only Calabasas High. Get ready to follow her as she navigates her new fast-paced surroundings and all the drama that comes with it!
As we all know, the city of Calabasas has been thrust into the spotlight ever since the Kardashian-Jenner clan took up residence there over the years. Celebs like Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Drake, and Will Smith have also called this neighborhood home – so you know this show is going to be filled with all the luxury, scandal, and excitement we’ve come to expect from that zip code.
