1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, upload content, or contact us for support. This may include your email address, profile information, and the images or videos you upload for processing.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services, process your transactions, send you technical notices and support messages, and respond to your comments and questions.

3. Data Storage & Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your data is stored using industry-standard cloud infrastructure:

  • Authentication & User Data: User accounts and profile information are managed through Google Firebase Authentication and stored in Google Cloud Firestore, a secure, encrypted NoSQL database.
  • Uploaded Content: Images and videos you upload are stored in Google Cloud Storage (Firebase Storage) with access restricted to authenticated users and our processing services.
  • Generated Content: AI-generated videos are stored in cloud storage and remain accessible to you through your account. Output URLs are provided by our third-party AI providers and may be hosted on their infrastructure.
  • Payment & Subscription Data: Payment processing for subscriptions and credit top-ups is handled entirely by Polar. We do not store your credit card numbers, bank details, or other payment credentials on our servers. We store subscription status, plan type, billing period dates, and Polar customer/subscription identifiers in your user profile to manage access and credit delivery.
  • Server-Side Processing: Backend logic runs on Google Cloud Functions (Firebase Functions). All communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services:

  • Uploaded Images & Videos: Content you upload for video generation is stored for as long as your account is active. We do not automatically delete uploaded assets so you can re-use them for future generations.
  • Generated Videos: Output videos remain available through your account indefinitely. Video URLs provided by third-party AI services may expire based on their own retention policies, but we store references to your generations in our database.
  • Account Data: Your account information (email, display name, credit balance, generation history) is retained for as long as your account exists.
  • Subscription & Transaction Logs: Records of subscription activations, renewals, cancellations, credit top-up purchases, and credit deductions are retained for accounting and dispute resolution purposes. Subscription management (cancellation, payment method updates) is handled through Polar's customer portal.
  • Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at hi@fikku.com. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal information, uploaded content, and generation history within 30 days. Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.

5. AI Models & Technology

FIKKU uses third-party AI models to generate videos from your uploaded content. We want to be transparent about the technology involved:

  • How Your Images Are Processed: When you submit a generation request, your uploaded image is sent to one or more third-party AI video generation services via their APIs. The AI model processes your image to produce a video output. We do not use your images to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI models.
  • Kling (by Kuaishou): Used for motion transfer and dance effect generation. Your image is sent to Kling's API along with a reference video or motion parameters to produce the output video. Kling operates under Kuaishou's privacy policy and data processing terms.
  • Seedance 2.0 (by ByteDance): Used for advanced video generation with features including cinematic camera control, real-world physics simulation, and native audio generation. Your image and prompt are sent to ByteDance's API for processing. ByteDance operates under its own privacy and data processing policies.
  • Replicate: A cloud platform used to run certain AI models. When Replicate-hosted models are used, your image is sent to Replicate's infrastructure for processing. Replicate operates under its own privacy policy.
  • Data Handling by AI Providers: Each AI provider may temporarily store your input images and output videos on their servers for processing purposes. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers. We select providers that commit to not using customer data for model training, but we cannot guarantee the practices of third-party services beyond their stated policies.
  • No Model Training: FIKKU does not train, fine-tune, or develop its own AI models. We are a platform that provides access to existing third-party AI services. Your content is used solely to fulfill your generation requests and is not used for any machine learning or model improvement purposes by FIKKU.

6. Music, Audio & Content Rights

FIKKU is a motion transfer and video generation platform. Our service applies motion and visual effects to user-uploaded images. We want to make the following clear regarding music and audio content:

  • No Music Storage: FIKKU does not store, host, or distribute any music or audio files. Any audio present in generated videos originates from reference videos that are publicly available or provided by third-party AI services.
  • Motion Transfer Only: Our core technology transfers motion patterns from reference videos to user photos. We do not create, modify, or distribute copyrighted music content.
  • Fair Use & Transformative Works: The videos generated through our platform are transformative in nature, as they create entirely new visual content by applying motion to user-provided images. Any incidental audio is part of the motion reference and is used in a transformative context.
  • Third-Party AI Services: We utilize third-party AI video generation services that may include audio in their outputs. These services operate under their own licensing agreements and terms of service.
  • User Responsibility: Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate rights to use, share, or distribute any content they create using our platform, including any audio that may be present in generated videos.

7. User-Generated Content & Liability Disclaimer

By using FIKKU, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Your Content, Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all content you upload to our platform, including but not limited to images, photos, and any other media. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to upload and use such content.
  • Generated Content Ownership: You retain ownership of the content you create using our service. However, you are fully responsible for how you use, share, publish, or distribute the generated videos on any platform including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or any other social media or distribution channel.
  • No Liability for User Actions: FIKKU, its owners, employees, affiliates, and partners shall not be held liable for any claims, damages, losses, or legal actions arising from content you upload, generate, or distribute using our platform. This includes but is not limited to copyright infringement claims, defamation, invasion of privacy, or any other intellectual property or personal rights violations.
  • Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FIKKU and its affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
  • Content Moderation: While we do not actively monitor all user-generated content, we reserve the right to remove any content that violates our terms of service or applicable laws, and to terminate accounts that engage in prohibited activities.
  • No Endorsement: FIKKU does not endorse, support, or guarantee any user-generated content. The presence of content on our platform does not imply our approval or verification of its legality or appropriateness.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use FIKKU to create content that:

  • Infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights
  • Contains or depicts illegal activities
  • Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or invasive of another's privacy
  • Contains explicit sexual content or exploits minors in any way
  • Promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred against any individual or group
  • Impersonates another person with intent to deceive or harm
  • Violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law

9. Third-Party Services & Infrastructure

FIKKU relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each service processes certain data as described below and operates under its own privacy policy:

  • Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions): Core infrastructure for user authentication, data storage, file hosting, and server-side processing. Your account data, uploaded files, and generation records are stored on Google Cloud infrastructure.
  • Polar: Payment processing for weekly subscriptions and credit top-up purchases. Polar handles all payment transactions, stores payment credentials, and provides the customer portal for subscription management (cancellation, payment updates, invoices). We receive webhook notifications for subscription events (creation, renewal, cancellation, revocation) and payment confirmations.
  • Resend: Email delivery service used to send transactional emails such as video completion notifications. Your email address is shared with Resend for this purpose.
  • Google Analytics: Used to understand how users interact with our platform. Collects anonymized usage data such as page views, session duration, and device information.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: Bot protection service used during authentication to prevent automated abuse. Processes browser metadata to verify human users.
  • Wiro API: AI video generation provider for motion transfer and dance effects. Your uploaded image and effect parameters are sent to Wiro for processing.
  • PiAPI: API gateway for accessing ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 model. Your uploaded images and prompts are sent through PiAPI to generate videos.
  • Replicate: Cloud platform for running AI models. Your uploaded content is sent to Replicate's servers when Replicate-hosted models are used for generation.

By using FIKKU, you also agree to be bound by the terms of these third-party services where applicable. We recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies for full details on how they handle your data.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

FIKKU is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We make no guarantees regarding the quality, accuracy, or reliability of any content generated through our platform.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FIKKU and its owners, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the service, any content generated through the service, or any conduct or content of any third party on the service.

12. Your Rights

You may access, update, or delete your account information at any time through your profile settings. You can also request complete deletion of your data by contacting us at hi@fikku.com. We will respond to such requests within 30 days.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
