AI Couple Videos: 5 Duo Trends You Can Make with Two Photos
Five viral two-person video trends you can make with AI from two photos: Hotel Lobby, Alors On Danse, Poker Face, Smalltown Boy, and Somebody That I Used to Know. Who plays which part, which photos work, and what each costs.

Most AI video tools animate one person. The trends that spread between couples and best friends need two, each with a part to play. These five take two photos, one per person, and put both of you into a clip people already recognize.
How a two-photo video works
Each photo becomes one performer. The AI studies both faces, then rebuilds the original clip with your two people in it. The camera, the cuts, and the moves come from the original. The faces and hair come from your photos, and in most of these trends each person also keeps the outfit they are wearing in their photo.
That means the creative decision is casting. Every trend below has two different roles, the upload boxes are labeled by role, and swapping the photos swaps the parts.
1. Hotel Lobby: two people, one microphone
Based on Quavo and Takeoff’s performance of “Hotel Lobby”: two performers trading verses on a single hanging microphone in front of an orange backdrop. One of you takes the left spot, the other the right.
Best for: friends who can commit to a bit, and pet owners. It costs 30 credits at 480p or 50 at 720p. Make it on the Hotel Lobby AI page.
2. Alors On Danse: the player and the hype dancer
A white studio, a table, a laptop, and a small keyboard, set to Stromae’s “Alors on danse”. One person plays the hook with total focus. The other cannot stand still, points to the sky, and leans in until their face fills the lens.
Best for: a pair where one of you is the calm one. The video runs about 26 seconds and costs 60 credits. Make it on the Alors On Danse Duo Video page.
3. Poker Face: the car duet
Filmed from the dashboard and set to Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face”. A driver and a passenger, seat belts on, dance in their seats and hit the same moves on the same beat.
Best for: couples and road-trip friends. It is the shortest of the five at about 15 seconds, and costs 40 credits. Make it on the Poker Face Car Video page.
4. Smalltown Boy: two screams and a dance
Set to Bronski Beat’s “Smalltown Boy”. It opens with two wide-angle close-ups: each person lunges at the lens, hands on their head, mid-scream. Then it cuts wide, and the two of you dance side by side.
Best for: best friends, and anyone whose group chat runs on chaos. It runs about 24 seconds and costs 60 credits. Make it on the Smalltown Boy Dance Video page.
5. Somebody That I Used to Know: the painted duet
The look of the Gotye and Kimbra music video: two people against a wall of painted shapes, with the same paint running across their skin. One faces the camera. The other stands in profile and sings straight at them.
Best for: couples, and exes with a sense of humor. Our run took about 11 minutes and came back at 27 seconds with the song. It costs 60 credits. Make it on the Somebody I Used to Know Video AI page.
Photos that work for two-person videos
- One person per photo. Do not upload a photo of the two of you together. Each upload box needs exactly one face.
- Face the camera, with the face and hair clearly visible. Glasses in the photo will follow you into the video, so take them off if you do not want them there.
- Wear what you want to be seen in. In most of these trends your outfit comes from your photo.
- Match the quality, not the setting. The two photos can be taken in different places. What matters is that both are sharp and evenly lit.
The same rules apply to any photo you animate. If a result looks off, why AI dance videos look uncanny covers the usual causes.
Ask before you upload
A duo video puts a second person on screen, so it needs a second yes. Use photos of yourself and of people who are happy to be in the video. That goes double for anything you plan to post.
Only have one photo?
Every trend above needs two. If it is just you, pick a solo dance from the AI dance effects, or read how to make a photo dance. And if you have a second photo but not a second person, Storm Dance AI puts one photo in the lead and fills the whole crowd with the other.
Start with the trend your friend already sent you. Half the fun is that they have to be in it.
